For many, Milton Glaser is the personification of American graphic design. As the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum recently described him, on winning their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004, "Glaser is a profoundly influential master of communication, as well as a charismatic mentor and humanistic force for social change. His work is characterized by its masterful handwork, its love of storytelling, and its sense of joy".

Best known for iconic poster designs and the enduring I ♥ NY campaign, this documentary portrait reveals the full breadth of Glaser’s remarkable artistic and graphic output – from newspapers and magazine designs to interior spaces, logos, and brand identities, to his celebrated prints, drawings and paintings – offering audiences a much richer appreciation for one of the great modern renaissance men.
