Cornell Tech, a new graduate school for technology, engineering, and applied science, opened the first phase of its Roosevelt Island campus on September 13, 2017. Conceived during the Administration of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Cornell Tech is a partnership between Cornell University and The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
In 2015, Checkerboard Films produced “Cornell Tech: The Vision”, documenting the development of Cornell Tech from original concept to the start of construction. In 2018, Checkerboard produced three films on aspects of Cornell Tech from construction through first semester at the completed campus.”
